Home Care Workforce Provider and Staff Hub now open!
We know that many more people are needed in the home care workforce to meet the needs of Australians. We have been contracted by the Australian Government to lead a consortium in Queensland, with our partners Skills Hubs and Skills Generation, to train and recruit large numbers of new personal care workers through the national Home Care Workforce Support Program.
COTA Queensland’s role in this program is focused on helping to ensure this workforce is equipped and supported to deliver the consistently high quality, person-centred support consumers deserve.
We have been talking with people about what makes good home care, what supports high-quality person-centred care, and what will be needed to attract and to support the huge increases in staff that will be needed.
We would love to hear from staff of home care service providers in Queensland who
- Have, or have had responsibility for employing, training, or managing personal care workers or
- Are working as a personal care/ support worker, or have previously worked as a personal care worker.
If you would like to participate, please visit the Home Care Workforce – Provider and Staff page on our Engagement Hub.
If you know others who may be interested in sharing their views and experiences, we would greatly appreciate it if you could share this information with your networks. If they are not online or would like to participate in a different way, please ask them to call (07) 3316 2999 and ask for either Andrea or Rose.
