COTA Queensland CHSP Provider Update
Many providers have been asking whether they're on track for 1 July new Aged Care Act implementation.
The Department recently released the Provider Operational Readiness Priority Actions List which will help you to determine your level of readiness. While at times you need to do more digging to see whether you will be compliant or not, this is a great document to become familiar with.
Some providers asked me to turn this document into an audit checklist, which I have done. See the checklist here. NOTE, I have only developed it for CHSP, and for up to 1 July 2025.
As mentioned, it is a starting point. You'll need to dive deeper in some areas, especially compliance with the ACT, though I encourage you to see where you're at.

For interstate events, reminders & calendar invites may display in the local event time.
COTA Queensland’s Sector Support and Development team believes every child has the right to be safe, to feel safe and to be protected from harm.
Guided by our organisation’s safeguarding framework, our team has completed a structured risk assessment of our sector-facing activities and undertaken targeted training to strengthen our ability to prevent, identify and respond to child abuse.
We are committed to acting promptly and appropriately if concerns are raised or disclosures occur, and to supporting safe practices across the sector.
