COTA Queensland CHSP Provider Update
Assistive products can support function – but reablement doesn’t happen in isolation. Living well is deeply connected to social and emotional wellbeing.
The Yarn, move, do workbook includes strengths‑based yarning prompts to support Elders, older people, and their families to reflect on healthy ageing and start meaningful conversations about what’s going right, not just what’s going wrong.
Developed by LiveUp in collaboration with Little Rocket, Victorian Aboriginal Health Service, Victorian Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (VACCHO), and Aunty Elly Chatfield, Yarn, move, do draws on Aunty Elly’s (Gamillaroi) powerful metaphor of Country regenerating after fire to show how assistive products can sit within a holistic wellness and reablement approach.
The resource can be used as a full workbook or as individual sheets, with space to write or draw.
All times shown are Queensland time (AEST).
For interstate events, reminders & calendar invites may display in the local event time.
COTA Queensland’s Sector Support and Development team believes every child has the right to be safe, to feel safe and to be protected from harm.
Guided by our organisation’s safeguarding framework, our team has completed a structured risk assessment of our sector-facing activities and undertaken targeted training to strengthen our ability to prevent, identify and respond to child abuse.
We are committed to acting promptly and appropriately if concerns are raised or disclosures occur, and to supporting safe practices across the sector.
