  • Survey - Aged care trauma awareness & education

    Whether you have years of experience or are hearing these terms for the first time, your feedback will help design training and resources that are genuinely useful for your work.
    This survey takes about 15 minutes and will close 30 April 2026.

    The Aged Care Trauma Awareness + Education project will deliver national training and education to better recognise and respond to the needs of Forgotten Australians and Care Leavers in aged care settings. It will raise awareness and enhance skills in providing person-centred, trauma-aware care to people who have experienced childhood trauma.

COTA Queensland’s Sector Support and Development team believes every child has the right to be safe, to feel safe and to be protected from harm.

Guided by our organisation’s safeguarding framework, our team has completed a structured risk assessment of our sector-facing activities and undertaken targeted training to strengthen our ability to prevent, identify and respond to child abuse.
