    New Statement of Rights resources available

    The Department of Health, Disability and Ageing has released Statement of Rights resources

    The Statement of Rights starts on 1 November with the new Aged Care Act. It will help make sure older people are at the centre of their care.

    New printable resources are available to help providers explain what rights older people have when accessing aged care services. These include:

    • a poster for resident common areas, staff break rooms and bulletin boards
    • an explainer for welcome packs.

    In addition to the information provided by the Department, Sector Support and Development staff have also released an Aged Care ACT & Support at Home Communications Toolkit to assist your organisation in communicating with people accessing care you provide.
