COTA Queensland CHSP Provider Update
Late last year, fellow Sector Support and Development Providers released the "In a Nutshell: Support at Home and the New Aged Care Act" resource. While some of this information is only relevant for Support at Home Providers, some information is providers delivering CHSP. We also know that CHSP providers and workers on the ground are being asked about Support at Home, or are supporting clients to transition to Support at Home.
Videos and factsheets have been provided to help Providers and on the ground workers to understand how the new Aged Care Act is transforming care delivery - putting rights, safety, and quality at the heart of every interaction. The In a Nutshell factsheet series gives workers and volunteers practical, easy-to-read guidance on what's new - covering the Statement of Rights, Code of Conduct, and the Support at Home Program. It is suggested that you watch the short explainer videos along with their factsheet.

COTA Queensland’s Sector Support and Development team believes every child has the right to be safe, to feel safe and to be protected from harm.
Guided by our organisation’s safeguarding framework, our team has completed a structured risk assessment of our sector-facing activities and undertaken targeted training to strengthen our ability to prevent, identify and respond to child abuse.
We are committed to acting promptly and appropriately if concerns are raised or disclosures occur, and to supporting safe practices across the sector.
