COTA Queensland CHSP Provider Update
Specialisation Verification is a voluntary process where an aged care provider can apply to be recognised for offering tailored services for specific communities or population groups.
Specialisation Verification helps older people with diverse backgrounds and life experiences along with their families, and carers to find aged care providers who are verified as providing specialised services. It can also help Assessors make appropriate referrals.
To be verified as providing specialised services, providers must apply and demonstrate that they meet the relevant criteria and evidence requirements under the framework in their service delivery. Specialisation Verification is assessed at the outlet level.

COTA Queensland’s Sector Support and Development team believes every child has the right to be safe, to feel safe and to be protected from harm.
Guided by our organisation’s safeguarding framework, our team has completed a structured risk assessment of our sector-facing activities and undertaken targeted training to strengthen our ability to prevent, identify and respond to child abuse.
We are committed to acting promptly and appropriately if concerns are raised or disclosures occur, and to supporting safe practices across the sector.
