  • Aged Care Worker Screening Guidance Material - Updated March 2026

    The Aged Care Worker Screening Guidance Material aims to assist registered providers delivering funded aged care services to understand and comply with the worker screening requirements introduced by the Aged Care Act 2024 and the Aged Care Rules 2025 that commenced on 1 November 2025.

    The changes to the March 2026 release (v2.0) of the Guidance Material are:

    • 1.4 Future of aged care worker screening: updated information
    • 3.1 Police certificates: inserted information on Aged Care Sector Employment Check in line with Aged Care Rules.
    • 1.3 and 3.4 Statutory declarations (where applicable): updated information on statutory declarations in line with Aged Care Rules.
    • 6 Future aged care worker screening requirements: information: removal
    • Appendix 1 – Diagram to identify the required check for workers: updated information on statutory declarations in line with Aged Care Rules
