Beyond Compliance: Embedding Cultural Safety & Trauma-Aware, Healing-Informed Care for All Communities in CHSP
As the aged care sector moves beyond compliance towards best-practice, trauma-aware, healing-informed, and culturally safe care models are becoming essential. This webinar equips CHSP providers with the necessary knowledge and tools to integrate these principles into daily care practices. It focuses on ensuring dignity, safety, and inclusion for all older adults, particularly those from Indigenous, CALD (Culturally and Linguistically Diverse), LGBTQ+, and disabled communities.
Participants of this Ageing Australia webinar will gain insights into the impact of past trauma on aging, best practices for embedding cultural safety in care models, and practical implementation strategies. Through expert-led discussions, real-world applications, and interactive scenarios, attendees will learn how to build trust, foster inclusion, and support staff wellbeing while navigating sensitive topics.
This webinar offers practical, research-backed strategies to enhance the quality of care for diverse older adults. It is an essential learning opportunity for aged care providers, frontline workers, and policymakers committed to fostering safe, respectful, and trauma-aware aged care environments.
