Session 1 - Aged Care Reform - Challenges, Risks, Ideas, and Opportunties for CHSP Providers

Sector Support and Development Providers, including COTA QLD, are hosting a series of four webinars on the Aged Care big picture and strategic options for CHSP organisations.

  • Aged care today, aged care tomorrow: the challenges and risks, ideas and opportunities for CHSP organisations.
  • Assessing and maintaining financial viability for CHSP organisations in this period of reform.
  • The strategic options and pathways CHSP organisations can pursue to ensure financial viability and service continuity to communities and regions.
  • Key considerations and opportunities for the strategic option of mergers and amalgamations.

Facilitated by Aaron Goldsworthy (Senior Consultant at Australian Strategic Services), the webinar series will draw on his 10+ years of experience educating and advising leaders and organisations operating across all programs in the aged care sector, and also a diverse range of associated human services, including health, disability and community services.

This first session will involve a panel of sector executives sharing their experiences discussing:

  • Grounding your organisation's response to aged care reforms in the big picture
  • Aged care consumers today and tomorrow
  • Reframing to operate in a managed marketplace Investing in digital capability to improve efficiency and consumer outcomes
  • Strategically assessing your organisation's position Suitable for staff, senior managers, executives and board members of CHSP organisations
