Dignity of Risk in Practice Survey - closes 16 April 2025
Council on the Ageing (COTA) Queensland's Sector Support and Development Team sit on the National Sector Support and Development Wellness and Reablement Working Group. This group has a Dignity of Risk sub-group.
Dignity of Risk refers to the right of individuals to make their own choices, even if those choices involve risk. The new Aged Care Act and the Statement of Rights requires us to ensure that "every older person has independence, autonomy, empowerment and freedom of choice".
We are requesting that CHSP providers complete the survey to help us better understand how Dignity of Risk is perceived, implemented, and managed for individuals within CHSP organisations. Your responses will help identify challenges and opportunities for improvement, and help to inform future activities associated with these groups.
The survey will take approximately 8 mintues to complete. The results will be de-identified and will be used by the National Sector Support & Development Wellness and Reablement Working Group to build sector capacity to apply Dignity of Risk with older people.
The survey will be open until 5.00pm on Wednesday 16 April 2025.
