  • ANAO audit on the effectiveness of CHSP - Survey closes 8/10/25

The Australian National Audit Office (ANAO) is currently undertaking a performance audit on the effectiveness of the CHSP.

The audit is examining 3 key questions:

    • Does CHSP meet community need?
    • Are CHSP services delivered effectively?
    • Is CHSP meeting its objectives?

The audit report will be presented for tabling in the Parliament in March 2026.

As part of the audit, the ANAO is seeking input from CHSP providers through a survey by Wednesday, 8 October.

Take this important opportunity to share your thoughts and experiences regarding CHSP to inform the audit report and potential recommendations made to the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing. You can complete the Provider Survey here.Note, this audit is not considering the aged care assessment process or the Support at Home program.
