COTA Queensland CHSP Provider Update

🕐 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm AEST
📍 Online
Overview
This webinar explores the visibility, inclusion and wellbeing of Rainbow elders within aged care, with a focus on the impacts of social isolation and loneliness. Participants will gain an understanding of how historical discrimination, systemic barriers and cultural disconnection have contributed to increased isolation risks for older LGBTIQ+ people, and learn practical approaches to fostering more inclusive and connected aged care environments.
The session will also examine current reforms, including the Specialisation Verification Framework, and showcase a community-based program model that supports connection, belonging and healthier ageing outcomes for Rainbow elders.
