Overview

This workshop will focus on building participants’ understanding of how the Aged Care Act 2024 impacts on the way CHSP services are delivered to older Australians. 

What’s Covered

It will include discussion about the key objectives of aged care and how the new Aged Care Act seeks to deliver inclusive, equitable care for all older people.

It will focus on the following key features of the aged care reforms and the role of volunteers in delivering quality care:

  • Wellness and Reablement
  • Strengths based, goal-oriented service delivery
  • Dignity of Risk
  • Statement of Rights.
