Overview
Family and friend carers play a vital part in supporting safe, positive ageing. Restrictive practices can come from stress, fear or not knowing the alternatives, rather than any intent to harm.
What’s Covered
This 90-minute workshop covers how to recognise carer stress, how to respond to it, and practical ways to lower the risk of restrictive practice in the home.
Who should attend
CHSP coordinators, support workers, assessors, case managers, team leaders, community engagement staff, volunteers, and anyone supporting older people from multicultural communities..
Cost
Payment (only if applicable) - STARS will send an invoice for the training to the organisation for payment within 2 weeks.
