    Aged Care Transitional Rules

    A message from the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing:

    From 1 November, aged care in Australia will transition from the existing legislation to the new Aged Care Act 2024. This marks the first time that all aged care programs will be subject to the same legislative requirements.

    To support this transition, the Minister for Aged Care and Seniors has made the Aged Care (Consequential and Transitional Provisions) Rules 2025. The Transitional Rules provide guidance and set expectations for implementing the Aged Care (Consequential and Transitional Provisions) Act 2024.
