  • Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission's training and education resources

The Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission provides e-learning modules for Aged Care Workers, self-service resources for educators, and live learning.

The Commission's online learning system is called Alis, short for Aged Care Learning Information Solution.

    Popular topics include:

    • understanding the strengthened Quality Standards in practice
    • delivering safe, person-centred and enjoyable mealtimes
    • Serious Incident Response Scheme (SIRS)
    • Governing for Reform in Aged Care
    • Infection Prevention and Control

CHSP Providers and their workers can access the e-modules at no cost via the Commission's online learning platform. Providers can also register to host the modules on their own Learning Management System. This is a great way to embed modules into your existing training structure.

The Commission also provides self-service information and talking points for Educators, on the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards, Code of Conduct, Visitor supports, Case-based education, SIRS and Food and nutrition.

Workers can also access live learning sessions at a cost. Current workshops include Effective Incident Management Systems (IMS), and The strengthened Quality Standards: Preparing for the changes.

You can also access the Commission's resource library, filtering by audience, topic, type of resource, year or language.
